redentore
Redentore is a pendant light rooted in history, symbolism, and architectural elegance. Inspired by the iconic Il Redentore church on Giudecca Island in Venice — a masterpiece by the Renaissance architect Palladio, built in the 16th century — this fixture pays homage to both the spiritual and material legacy of that era.
The name Redentore, meaning “Redeemer”, refers to the church’s original purpose: a monument of gratitude for the end of the plague in Venice. This deep symbolism is reflected in the design: the fixture is crafted from thick-walled solid brass, finished in a dark oxidised patina — a deliberate reference to the somber origins of the structure that inspired it.
Architectural, meditative, and timeless, Redentore speaks to both past and present. It is a powerful object, grounded in history yet perfectly suited to contemporary interiors.
